After a delicious and filling breakfast on your first day in Duluth, bundle up and head down to Duluth’s famous Lakewalk.  Here, you’ll enjoy the most scenic walking path in Duluth, with stunning views of Lake Superior, as well as adjacent parks, gardens, and beaches.  Once down in Canal Park, head to the Lake Superior Maritime Museum, where you’ll tour the proud flagship of U.S. Steel’s Great Lakes Fleet.  Afterwards, grab lunch at Lake Avenue Restaurant and Bar, then head out to the stunning Glensheen Mansion. Here, you’ll tour the home of one of Minnesota’s most powerful and influential families.  The opulent mansion, built by Chester Congdon and his family in 1908, features 39 rooms on 7 acres, with the original furnishings still intact.  Afterwards, unwind at our nearby Bed and Breakfast, before heading to dinner at the exquisite Va Bene Berarducci’s Caffe.

Day Two

On the second day, it’s time to get outside and see what all the hype is about.  Duluth has been ranked as a top destination for outdoor enthusiasts for a reason.  Nordic Skis, snowshoes or fat bikes can be rented at the Continental Ski and Bike, or a variety of places around town before heading out on the the trails.  Our favorite places to go include Snowflake Nordic ski Center, The Hartley Nature Center, and the Nordic trails at Spirit Mountain.  Afterwards, grab a beer and warm up at Fitger’s Brewhouse, a Duluth institution.  You can even stay here for dinner if you’d like.

Day Three

On your final day in Duluth, it’s time to kick the romance up a notch.  Start your day off with an indulgent treatment at one of Duluth’s spas, such as On the Canal Salon & Spa or Fitgers Salon & Spa.  Follow that up with some hands on cooking classes at the Blue Heron Trading Co., or a class at Lake Superior Art Glass.  Follow up your wonderful day with a show at the Duluth Playhouse, and dinner at one of Duluth’s delicious restaurants.  Innkeeper favorites include JJ Astors, featuring a beautiful view of the Twin Ports, Va Bene Berarducci’s Caffe, Blackwoods Grille & Bar, Tavern On The Hill, The Blind Pig, and the New Scenic Cafe.
