The Independent Television Film Festival is Moving to Duluth

Independent Television Film Festival Is Coming to Duluth in 2019We love the city of Duluth, and think it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. We also love sharing what it is that makes our city unique with our guests. There have been a series of exciting developments in Duluth in recent years. Between the Norshor Theatre reopening its doors after so many years of neglect, the revitalization of the Lincoln Park Craft District, and a variety of new breweries and taprooms opening around the area, Duluth has been undergoing what feels like a dramatic transformation. It’s clear that members of the community are invested in making life better here, and are investing their time and energy into businesses that improve the community as a whole. The arts in general are seen as an economic driver, and are heavily supported by the community. This community minded focus is one of the many things that gives Duluth such a friendly, welcoming vibe, and keeps our guests coming back year after year. It’s also what brings events, like the Independent Television Film Festival, to our city for the first time this October. Keep your eye on all of the exciting things to come in Duluth this year, and as always, book your room at the A.G. Thomson House Bed and Breakfast; the best when it comes to luxury lodging in Duluth

The Independent Television Film Festival in Duluth

At first glance, it might not sound that exciting to hear that the Independent Television Film Festival (ITVFest) is coming to Duluth this October. But for a town that has been so focused on building up the arts industry and increasing its tourism draw, this news is incredible.  The ITVFest is slated to happen October 9 – Book Your room for the Independent Television Film Festival in Duluth in 201913, 2019, and can best be compared to the famous Sundance Film Festival. This year will mark the 14th year of the festival, which is dedicated to the indie tv market most of us have grown to love (think Netflix, YouTube, HBO, etc.).  The festival itself draws a crowd of around 1,300 people, with over 70 executives, producers, and agents in attendance at the festival, shopping for new shows and looking for new talent. For Duluth, the exposure will be priceless, and will also lead to a year-round operation as an educational institute for producers, which hopefully will lead to them shooting and filming here.

These late winter and early spring months are also the perfect time to plan in some much needed R&R at our romantic Bed and Breakfast in Duluth. Take advantage of our incredible specials and packages, and book your special escape to our Duluth Bed and Breakfast today.
