The Frosted Fatty Comes Back to Spirit Mountain

Spirit Mountain is the perfect place for snow lovers.  They offer 22 ski and snowboard runs of varying degrees, a terrain Park, progression Park, and freestyle features, and a total vertical drop of 700 feet. On Sundays, these incredible ski runs turn into a fat tire bikers paradise. For the price of one ticket, bikers will have access to the mountain lifts and trails. It’s the only lift-access fat bike ski area in the area. The adventure park is also open for snow tubing, which is the perfect low-key way to get in touch with your inner child and enjoy Duluth’s winter wonderland. For a truly unique spin on this fun winter activity, try glow tubing at night! If downhill sports don’t interest you, head to the Nordic Center and enjoy the miles of cross country skiing trails

This March, Spirit Mountain turns into a veritable fat tire biking paradise with the Frosted Fatty.  The Frosted Fatty will be held on March 28, 2020, for the 3rd year of winter downhill fat bike ski, and snowboard racing. Races at the Frosted Fatty will include Fat Bike XC, Staged Downhill, and Head to Head Dual Slalom, where bikers, skiers and snowboarders race it out. This two-day festival promises to be unbelievably fun, and will include bike demos, food, beverage, music and more!

After the Frosted Fatty, join the crowds at the Loose in the Moose Afterparty in the Main Chalet.  Spirit Mountain is always pumping out the fun, and features live music 5 days a week, from Wednesday – Sunday.
