Wednesday Concerts on the Pier

Glensheen Mansion is Minnesota’s most visited historic home, offering an exquisite glimpse into Duluth’s past.  Glensheen Mansion, also known as the historic Congdon Estate, as an exquisite waterfront home on Lake Superior.  The home, built in the Jacobean style, was once owned by Duluth resident Chester A. Congdon. Glensheen Mansion offers a variety of tours, both seasonal and year-round, and will provide you with a glimpse into some of the most beautiful and historically significant arts and crafts interiors in the country.

After you take a tour of Glensheen Mansion, we suggest you join locals and visitors on their pier every Wednesday night in July, for your chance to experience this historic mansion like never before. Glensheen’s annual Concerts on the Pier series is incredibly popular, and kicks off July 4, 2018 with Big Wave Dave and the Ripples. These spectacular concerts are free, and food & drinks are available for purchase. Though you can certainly drive and park to attend this event, the best way to get there is to join The Duluth Experience kayak tour. You’ll enjoy a scenic paddle along the shores of Lake Superior, followed by a front row seat to Glensheen’s Concerts on the Pier.

In August, this same adventure can be enjoyed, with a rewarding Wednesday Night bonfire at Glensheen.
