Concerts on the Pier
Glensheen’s popular summer Concerts on the Pier series is back for another year, and as always will feature the best of Duluth’s local bands. The series kicks off on July 5th with the Boomchucks, and will continue every Wednesday night throughout the month of July. Bands play on the 100-foot pier into Lake Superior, making it a truly unique concert experience. Concert goers line the shore for the free concerts, and kayakers and boaters paddle in for the show as well. This year, Vista Fleet is even offering concert cruises, a unique and interesting way to take in this free concert series.
Hairball is more than just an 80’s rock tribute band; it’s an experience for the senses. All in all, it’s an incredible 2-hour musical journey through some of the biggest 80’s acts in the world, including Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith.
Chester Creek Concerts
The annual free concerts at the beautiful Chester Bowl location are back. The Chester Creek Concert Series started on June 13th, and will run every Tuesday evening from now through August 22nd.
Bayfront Reggae and World Music Festival
The Bayfront Reggae and World Music Festival is a great time to celebrate internationally touring artists on the picturesque shores of Lake Superior. This year, it takes place on Saturday, July 15th. City on the Hill Music Festival
The 3rd annual City on the Hill Music Festival comes back to Bayfront Park on August 4th and 5th. Highlights include the Newsboys on Friday, August 4th, and Mercyme’s first ever visit to the Northland on Saturday the 5th! Beyond that, the lineup of performers promises to be inspiring.
Bayfront Blues Festival
As one of the oldest and largest outdoor summer concerts in the area, the Bayfront Blues Festival is the one to come to if you only have limited time. The festival features more then 30 Blues performers, many some of the best in the nation.
The Tribute Fest
From August 23-26, wrap up a great summer with the Tribute Fest, one of the hottest music tickets in Duluth. The event kicks off with boat races and a dance concert on the 23rd, followed by 3 incredible nights of tribute music, featuring rock, country, and electronic dance music.
