AG Thomson Hause

I love finding new and delicious recipes (I watch A LOT of cooking shows!) to offer our guests and help keep my menu interesting, unique and tasty at the same time.  I do not believe in scrambling plain eggs and slapping a strip of bacon or sausage on your plate and calling it good; there are far too many delicious options and why I love to keep my menu fresh! This page allows us to share with you some of our favorites and offer a little bit of the A.G. Thomson House in your home.  Please enjoy our recipe page and we hope find a few favorites of your own to share with family and friends!       Guestroom - Salyards Room_6
Here is a recent recipe favorite that has been requested time and time again this season...and perfect for ANY season of the year!  Be sure to check out many more recipes below!

Honey Lavender Baked Peaches with Cinnamon Mascarpone - serves 8

  • 4 fresh whole peaches; halved and pitted (firm, but ripe – slice a small segment off of the bottom so they sit flat in the pan)
  • 1/3 cup Monin Lavender Syrup (a little more depending upon your taste preference)
  • 3 tbsp Blossom or Clover Honey (a little more depending upon your taste)
  • ½ tsp Lemon Zest
  • 3 tbsp butter (small pieces)
  • 1 container mascarpone cheese
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Drizzle of lavender syrup
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.   In a small bowl, mix together the mascarpone, cinnamon and lavender syrup.  Set aside in the refrigerator to firm up. In a medium bowl, mix together the lavender syrup, honey, and lemon zest. In a 9 x 13 baking pan, randomly place the butter on the bottom of the pan. Place the peaches in the pan, and pour the syrup over the peaches making sure some of the syrup puddles in the peach center.     Optional: Streusel topping can be placed on top of the peaches after the syrup and before placed in the oven to bake. You will have extra topping with this recipe.                                           Streusel topping:
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¼ cup butter
Place peaches in the oven and bake for approximately 25 – 30 minutes.  Top with mascarpone.
