February…Valentine’s Day…Romance!

Duluth Bed and Breakfast Romance

February…Valentine’s DayRomance…they go hand in hand.  For those of us living in the North, it is synonymous with a delectable romantic dinner, cuddling and snuggling by the fire, and reconnecting.

It is also a month where we are in kind of a sports “holding” pattern with not much going on so our significant others may not be distracted, and we are getting somewhat tired of the weather and looking forward to spring.  So February is the perfect time to escape the day to day life and get rejuvenated with a short, convenient escape to the North Shore!

And Duluth is the perfect place to break up the monotony of the season. Yes, we have snow and yes, it is chilly and yes, you will not be inundated with doing this and doing that or MOMMY and DADDY!!!…you can just be!  You can have an uninterrupted dinner conversation, you can take a nap, you can watch a movie that is NOT animated, and you can REST!

Duluth is full of wonderful February events and the perfect constant of gorgeous Lake Superior during this beautiful season.  And here at the AG Thomson House Duluth Bed and Breakfast, we have created the environment for our guests to cuddle, snuggle, relax, nap, reconnect, and just be!  Let us be the break you need!

For you...

I Love my Kids, BUT…

December 28th, 2009 by Angie Allen

As relatively new “empty nesters”, and having experienced a few urgent phone calls home from our college freshman, a thought came to mind one day. How many parents out there; whether new, seasoned, or empty nesters, are constantly giving and giving to their kids – selflessly and without a second thought about themselves. We love and adore our children, and want to give them the very best as parents, and the best opportunities that we possibly can in today’s world. But we also need to take a step back on occasion, and put ourselves and our relationships first. We will be better people, better partners, and better parents for it. So as I hung up from the phone call from my fantastic child (we are very lucky parents), I said to myself…”I love my daughter, but…” and hence the new package addition!

Whether it’s this package, or any one of many others that we offer, we urge you to take time for yourselves and your relationships. A stay at the A G Thomson House in spectacular Duluth MN is a great way to start!
